Totally shitcan the report of covid cases. Almost all covid positives are home-tested.

Hospitalizations and deaths are still valid stats.

And wait until late January, when the inflated Thanksgiving-Christmas vortex of family gathering infections has run its course.

    doing my own research! wheeeeeeeee!

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2022/12/26/vaccine-hesitancy-measles-chickenpox-polio-flu/

A rapidly growing measles outbreak in Columbus, Ohio — largely involving unvaccinated children — is fueling concerns among health officials that more parent resistance to routine childhood immunizations will intensify a resurgence of vaccine-preventable diseases.

Most of the 81 children infected so far are old enough to get the shots, but their parents chose not to do so, officials said, resulting in the country’s largest outbreak of the highly infectious pathogen this year.

“That is what is causing this outbreak to spread like wildfire,” said Mysheika Roberts, director of the Columbus health department.

Yeah it’s been three days. Most people probably don’t know they have it yet from Christmas. It took me almost a week to go from the first inkling of a cold to fever and chills. And I was likely exposed a week prior to that.

Had an allergic reaction to MMR as a toddler and didn't have another vaccine until Moderna COVID shots.

Going to start trying to catch up on vaccines (don't need pertussis, as I managed to contract that in January). It's worrying to have a measles outbreak so close when there's no way I can have that vaccine. Won't be going to central Ohio anytime soon.
