Glass Onion was fun, but not nearly as good as Knives Out.

Agreed. Craig is so good in that role that he could play it in 20 sequels, but the plot was so thin and filled with holes that it was distracting. Without any spoilers, even how the gang almost each other was so poorly explained

And none of the supporting characters were nearly as entertaining as those played by Chris Evans or Toni Collette.

Agree to disagree on Glass Onion. I'll admit, I'm a sucker for stories like this. I find joy in it.

Just rewatched again tonight (my second viewing since seeing in theater). For me, it's a fucking blast. Had a first viewer in the room who was overjoyed by it, and loved the first one.

    Good enough for me.

Glass Onion is the thinnest, laziest, dumbest, most disappointing movie I’ve seen in years. It’s as stupid as Benoit Blanc himself admits.

“It’s a Wonderful Life.” First time either of my kids (ages 23 and 21) had ever seen it. We caught the last hour or so, from when Uncle Billy misplaces the money and Mr. Potter takes it.

My daughter was stunned that a movie as dark as that one could be considered a Christmas classic, even with the happy ending.

I was too busy laughing at some of the not meant to be funny lines as George wanders through the mean streets of Potterville.

Saw Glass Onion the other night and fell asleep about halfway in. Took a snooze, but still saw most of the movie. Not great, but I enjoyed Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc. Agree with the thought upthread that I can watch him in that role again and again.

I haven't seen Knives Out, but watched Glass Onion with my wife and daughter last night. My daughter liked it. I thought it was decent. My wife hated it. She was actually pissed that she put in the time to watch it.

Craig is great and it has a few clever moments, but I agree with the others who thought much of it felt lazy.

Put me down in the enjoying Glass Onion group.

Any movie that makes a reference to the monkees episode where Liberace smashes a piano is A-Ok in my book.

I saw it Christmas evening and I liked it, not quite as much as "Knives Out," but I did enjoy it.
I just absolutely love the Benoit Blanc character, and Craig's portrayal of him. (funny moment: in the middle of the movie, my Dad suddenly blurts out "Hey that guy looks just like the guy who played James Bond!" My sister beat me to the comment "That IS the guy who played James Bond.")
As is my wont, I went to IMDB to check out the trivia section for this movie. One item I found was that director Rian Johnson, figuring he'll be making a few of these movies featuring Blanc, at first wanted Craig to do a different accent for each movie. That idea was apparently shut down by studio execs.

Aubrey Plaza in "Emily the Criminal". Very enjoyable to see her in a character so different from Harper in White Lotus and Parks and Rec. She's going to be an award winner (Emmy/Oscar) very soon.
