Running MCU thread

First, how does Bacon not know who these two are? Is that plausible?

Second, has the MCU just opened the door to have celebrities as part of the MCU? Ms. Marvel rescuing Taylor Swift? Is that a huge shark jump?

 

Just watched it last night. I thought the special was fun. It felt like Gunn's version of a holiday episode of sitcom, and it works. I'm not putting too much thought into it. All it really did for the characters was create a stronger connection between two of them.

It did seem as if they did a few things to keep the budget down, like minimizing the use of Rocket. Also, looked Groot was just a guy in a costume.

Remember, these aren't Earth-bound heroes; they've spent nearly no time on our planet, and the little time we know of, it wasn't like they were insanely visible. It's entirely plausible he'd have no idea who they were?

I guess this isn't technically the MCU, though I wonder if they will try to tie it in now.

 

I cannot imagine them not bringing him in somehow.

This really hasn't gotten much attention yet, but it sounds like he suffered some brutal injuries.

 

Were they thinking about building the Young Avengers around him?

 

I doubt it. The idea behind Young Avengers is for those younger heroes to strike out on their own.

 

To borrow from a Nick Fury quote, Ant-Man is hilariously out of his league.
