Wait. Wyoming's basketball facility is called Arena Auditorium?

And they're not sponsored by these guys?

The double-A. One of those round cookie-cutter arenas from the early 1980s, like Purdue or Utah. There's a nice lounge up on the concourse.

Remember when Mississippi State was unbeaten a couple of weeks ago? Pepperidge Farm remembers. Now the Bullies are down 16-0 at the first TV timeout in Knoxville.

Do we blame a sportswear manufacturer ... or soccer?

Make sure to talk to your kids about 4-0 in the ACC Pitt, with back to back wins over ranked teams for the first time in over a decade.

And suddenly … no one is talking about Jeff Capel’s demise …

Pitt's come a ways since losing to VCU early in the season.

K State dropped 116 in Austin last night.

I wouldn’t say that yet but it’s been a surprising turn given how the season started.

Not too many times where you shoot three free throws the entire game . . . and win by 34. :)

Third week of March Tennessee will shoot three free throws . . . and lose by 12.

Yeah, completely impossible for this fanboi to get excited about these hoopVols, given last year's bed-shitting.

This isn't NCAA hoops but why not squeeze some NJCAA action in? The women's team at my JUCO alma mater back in Minnesota defeated North Dakota State College of Science last week in OT, in a game that ended with NDSCS having...two players.

Here's the end of regulation when Minnesota West ties it while NDSCS is down to 4 players.

Fast forward to the 2:23:25 mark to see the debacle begin with 2 players. Still kept it close!

I was in attendance when Alabama almost beat the Gophers while playing 3 on 5. Probably coolest sporting event I've seen live. After this two-player finish I was talking with people about whether you could play with just one and a friend whose brother refs in the SEC said he didn't think there was anything against it.

Obviously you could never inbound it, so you'd have to take 5-second calls on dead balls or when the other team scores. But if you can get a stop and the board, you can go score. If it ever happens, I feel confident saying it'd be in a JUCO game.

I talked with the coach of the winning team in this one and it was actually very similar to what happened to the Gophers against Bama. The team on offense just doesn't know how to attack an opponent with 3 or 2 players. They did score usually but not as smoothly as it should have been (and on defense the team with 5 kept fouling for god knows what reason). And when the team with few players has the ball, if you have someone who can dribble, it doesn't really matter if you're going 1 on 1 or 1 on 5, you'll be able to get some type of shot off.
