When you can’t organize a coup, next best thing is hold the country hostage. Republicans either can’t or don’t want to lead. Too many of them just want to see everything burn. Until they can install a dictator, this is what they’ll do because they don’t have any other ideas.

 

In 2022 Fox lost 1% of its viewers, CNN 20%+ and MSNBC 30%.

Says more about the strength of political messaging than any poll.

Ken Buck indicated he may not support McCarthy going forward if he doesn’t find a way to end this today. Wonder if six Republicans will threaten to vote present and give Jeffries the Speakership just to end this and deal with it later.

 

We'll get to the 7th. This could go the distance.

 

This is all simple.

For years and years and years, the Conservative Entertainment Complex has worked hard to convince its watchers of things like Clinton Foundation! and Uranium One! and Benghazi! .... and then nothing seems to happen about any of those pretend scandals, because the elected GOP always knew it was horseshit they were saying to get elected.

But now they've elected a bunch of folks who think that stuff is reality, and those folks think they're taking a stand against those who are conspiring to cover up those Democrat crimes (see also: "Deep State!" and "Uniparty!" and "RINO!").

So here we go; the GOP has been in bed with conspiracy theorists for 30 years and the bill is coming due.

 

None of this will matter in the end. It may take another couple days, but McCarthy won't be Speaker. It'll end up being Scalise, and then the investigations of Hunter Biden's laptop can begin.

 

Judging from his interview on MSNBC a moment ago, I bet Biden has Covid.
