Well, at the beginning of his term Lincoln favored forced relocation of neegros back to Africa. That's something the modern GOP could really get behind.

It has to just be a matter of time before Trump publicly disavows McCarthy. He can't bear to stay attached to a loser.

 

Or maybe if McCarthy were smart he would have disavowed Trump first. But that would take actual balls, of which he has none.

Someone on Twitter suggested that they start the next Speaker vote with a runner on second base.

 

As has been written, most of the non-McCarthy votes just want to blow shit up. They don’t really have someone who is ideologically more aligned with them — they just want to be able to flex and say that they forced him out.

It’s not a fact. He’s received the most votes but not a majority. Jeffries hasn’t cleared 50 percent to be a “majority”

 

Exactly. One of my pet peeves: confusion of majority and plurality.
