I'm reminded of the scene in "Ghandi" when the men kept walking up to the gate, knowing they would be beaten by the guards.

 

Electeds can’t even help constituents at this point.

 

I've chatted with a few people who are gleeful about the paralyzation and don't care that goverment can't work. They want to see it burn and think the 20 are doing noble work.

I'm not in favor of status quo but scorching everything isn't always the best plan, either.

I’m enjoying the Dumpster* fire, too, but at some point the people need a government.

* — Dumpster used to be capitalized per AP style, but no one seems to cap it anymore.

 

AP doesn't even give a shit about over/more than anymore.
