In some maroon quarters, it's t.u. or Varsity.

He was shitcanned so quickly that I suspect there is more to the story than we’re hearing.

    UAB 12-2 vs FAU 12-1 ESPN2

Tied at 41 at the half.

    Pretty good game.

Think you mean ESPN Plus. That’s where I’m watching these community college announcers from a community college gym.

It is a good game, although I have confirmed my suspicion that FAU (No. 11 NET rating!) is grossly overrated by computer formulas.

    I stand corrected, thank you.

FAU is in the AAC next season. Their gym seats 2,800. That's the same as Hoover HS.

UTSA is ranked over 300. Theirs seats 4,080.

There are some folks around the conference who are less than impressed. Commitments were made regarding facilities. The new TV contract for the rising C-USA schools will be a big boost to budgets.

KenPom has them at 39. I'm not sure the NCAA's exact formula for NET, but it weighs "actual" wins more than metrics at time, even if they're shitty wins. Fordham was in the 130s of NET for a while, even though they had played the weakest schedule in the nation according to KenPom, which had them around the 180 to 210 range. They've sunk like a stone since two A-10 loses.

They're still a top three in the league team, and this is a conference road game. The winner leads the league. They're tough at home.

The Idaho killings threadjack regarding One on One made me wonder how you would seed a tournament featuring some of the great fictional college basketball teams. Western State, Western University, Cadwallader (Fast Break) and others.

This is a SEC doubleheader day for CBS. So what do they choose to show?

    Alabama-Kentucky: Nope
    Arkansas-Auburn: Uh uh
Mizzou-Vandy and Ole Miss-Miss. State: COME ON DOWN!
