That's still gonna be a really big buyout number.

Chris Beard did the same thing to UNLV a few years back, but he lasted 20 days before bailing for Texas Tech.

I love this move by Rocky Long. One more paycheck, one more puff of the cigar.

He still is UNM royalty from his head coaching run (when he was oddly fired for Locksley and his awful tenure) but he knows the coaching regime will get fired after 2023 unless they win 5 or 6 games.

(I "watch" New Mexico a lot -- love their team total unders.). Their defense wasn't terrible but the offense left the defense got stuck with short fields.

Long is a supreme DC. Good get from Dino.

Isn't Tepper a Michigan guy? I know Steve Ross is.

Tepper is University of Pittsburgh undergrad and Carnegie Mellon grad.

    Ross is.

Also, the Michigan guys on the Broncos' staff are Mike Mallory and Tyrone Wheatley. Tyrone was on Harbaugh's staff at Michigan.

The ESPN story, to which I will not link, was disturbingly glowing about how Petrino is one of the most respected offensive minds in the game.

To be determined. Maybe Monday will provide clarity. So far, I'm not sure if the trial balloons presumably floated by Harbaugh's agent have elicited much response.

Ed Reed's tenure at Bethune-Cookman is off to a great start.

Ed Reed talking to a player’s mom on an in-home visit would be an amazing SNL sketch they could never actually broadcast.
