While Russia certainly has a robust homegrown stockpile of suffering dating back centuries, it seems determined to grow its strategic reserves under an elaborate import/export arrangement with Afghanistan, Georgia, Chechnya, Belarus, Crimea and Ukraine.

 

Technically it has to come from the Suffre region. Otherwise it is just sparkling misery.

Ukraine has claimed that 111,170 Russian military personnel have been killed since Russia invaded the country on February 24 last year.

In its latest update on January 8, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that 430 more Russian soldiers had been killed the previous day. The claims could not be independently verified.
