I don't remember the details from October or November or whenever it was. I just remember Congress served up a bigger piece of the pie than POTUS ordered.

 

As someone whose hometown was decimated by the closure of an Air Force base in the 90s, defense stuff really is a Mexican standoff. Losing a project, much less a base, is an easy way to catastrophically gut a region's economy for a generation.

 

I’m sure Fox News will cover this intensely.

 

So let's say the Trumpist klan opposes aid to Ukraine on fiscal grounds. "We can't afford it. Our deficit is too high," they claim in one breath. Yet in the next, they yell, "Defund the IRS."
Doesn't seem to make fiscal sense, does it?

 

Not sure he's going to get the same level of fame and support as Trumpist hero KKKKyle Rittenhouse, whose use of a gun in shooting libruhls covers him in protective glory.

 

And they are deplorable.

30 years ago, when my wife was a student in the University of Iowa’s college of education, the Hawkeye State had some of the best public schools in the nation.

Now the Republicans can’t defund them enough.
