When I was still in the business, I absolutely hated using art of Olympic women's gymnastics, because of the creeper factor and the top competitors were so young. Was cool with medal shots or static shots.

In the last Olympics, didn’t the Germans opt to go with a uniform that covered the legs?

    Yep.

The skimpification of women’s competition uniforms is - as a girl dad, not a perv - something I’ve thought about a lot over the years. Why do volleyball players wear Lycra short-shorts? Why do track athletes wear bikini bottoms?

As a college volleyball season ticket holder, it is easing significantly. I don't know if there were uniform rules changes or what, but I'd say there is at least one, and usually multiple, players on every team now that wears full leggings. Last year a player on my school's team wore what were basically soccer shorts. Five years ago you never saw variations.

The Dallas Morning News ran a photo of hometown 16-year-old girl Carly Patterson in 2004 that left little to the imagination. I'm sure it was a staff photo because they still sent photogs overseas then.

I drew the women’s gymnastics beat for a semester when I was at the Pitt News. Great bunch of young ladies and I couldn’t ask for a better person to explain what I was watching to me than head coach Debbie Yeoman.

One meet, the assistant SID had to toss a guy who was there with a camera and no press credentials. “Sometimes you get people here taking pictures for the wrong reasons and you find your athletes on a website they shouldn’t be on a few days later.” That was 2002 and, frankly, I’m shocked it took hornballs and preverts this long.

I had money on LSU last night but Livvy didn't compete (injury?) and I feel like I was ripped off. DraftKings should refund my bet!!!

I would feel more confident betting on cockroach races than the opening month of college gymnastics. Makes spring training look hyper-competitive.
