Well, the first half was entertaining. Second half, not so much. Just like the Seahawks’ season.

Unlike the Harbaugh (and especially Bill Walsh-era) teams, I have nothing against the 2022 49ers. Lots to like about this team.

Ever since he was at USC, I’ve always relished Pete failing. And haven’t been able to enjoy it very much until this year. Think Geno had a cool story this year and the team is not the same without Wilson (in a good way). But after how many years of owning the Niners, this feels good.

Geno gonna Geno. 49ers have Super Bowl written all over them, they are playing great.

Over was 43 and the Niners may hit it by themselves

As many have noted, Geno is the least of the Seahawks’ issues. They need to rebuild just about every position group on defense.

Looked like a pretty big part of their problem today. Key fumble when it was a one-possession game, then a horrible interception when they were still close. He's a nice story, but the window-dressing TD he just threw makes his game look better than it was.

You think Seattle gets any further than the wild-card round in the future with him at QB? I sure don't.

The O line did him no favors.

Seahawks with Geno are like Lions with Goff
    Gotta fix that defense first

Seattle fell apart in the second half of the season because their defense — which allowed 41 points today — was repeatedly gashed, especially in the running game.

No, Geno Smith is not one of the game’s elite QBs, but he was in the top half of NFL quarterbacks this season and might be good enough as the Seahawks reload over the next season or two.

We’ll see if Seattle uses their top 5 draft pick on a QB.

I think the question is, is this the norm for the 49ers going forward or their absolute ceiling? Also, how confident are you that Purdy won’t turn into a pumpkin?

Seattle was lucky to get in, and teams won’t be that inept for a whole half (I’d think) later on.

ALL THAT SAID, if San Fran plays like they did today through the rest of the playoffs, they’re Supe champs.
