Lot of hate for Staley here, and he certainly deserves some blame for the second half play calling. But they win that game if Bosa doesn't lose his shit.

    Collinsworth can call two games.
Dungy last night was an abomination.

I'm a big uncle Al fan, but that end of the game call was atrocious. Not a good look for him at all.
Was he befuddled? Because he sounded befuddled.

We were driving home last night after watching the game at friend's house and the Chargers radio team (Matt "Money" Smith and a former player) on the postgame made both these points.
Dicker the kicker was nails all season. And the former player radio guy said, "If the Jags needed a touchdown at the end of the game, do you have any doubt about whether they would have been stopped?"

The Dallas Texans have a good chance to go all the way.

I mentioned a few pages back that he seemed off/not into it at all, especially in the second half, and I attributed that to him being saddled with Dungy.

Whoever thought Tony Dungy would ever be interesting to listen to initially failed.

The entire NBC NFL production, soup to nuts, should be thrown in the trash bin.

I agree. If the kicking team calls the TO, I understand not allowing it to not give the kicker a practice kick. But why should the kicker have to stop his motion if the other team calls the TO?

In baseball, even if the batter steps out and the ump calls time, they don’t stop the pitcher from completing his throw.

Somebody’s going to screw something up with this practice kick thing. Either the kicker will think a TO is called and not kick when it actually wasn’t, or a ref is going to block a game-winning field goal.

I think if an opposing coach wants to wait until the last second, fine - but NFL refs shouldn't go out of their way to stop a snap or a kick - that's how a kicker could get hurt. You wait until the last second, you shouldn't have refs doing your dirty work for you.

I think you could put the '89 49ers in those uniforms and the same thing happens. Do not underestimate the power of The Chargering.
