That championship game against Georgia is hardly a resume builder for an offensive coordinator. To say nothing of the OT possession in the Big 12 championship game.

Clemson whacking one of its own, a former Clemson QB, after one season? A season in which the team won the conference championship? I know coordinators are the most vulnerable coaches in sports, and I know they have high standards there. But is there something to this beyond performance?

Maybe Streeter missed a couple prayer meetings.

48th in total offense, 30th in scoring offense, 73rd in passing efficiency, 66th in passing offense, 47th in rushing offense. And in every game they had equal or better talent, in many cases an order of magnitude better. That simply isn’t going to cut it at a school that expects to be a national contender and pays coordinators the going rate for such a school.

They scored 49 fewer points against Tennessee than their in-state rival did.

If Harbaugh was looking for one of those "total control" things - he's kind of foolish. Give input on a GM hire, but make the GM and coach equal, under the owner or team president. I think SF has the perfect structure.

    Isn’t this the same as:
I just got off the phone with my wife and she shared with me the great news that she is going to remain my spouse. That is fantastic news that I have communicated to our children. #GoBlue!

    or
I just got off the phone with Coach Harbaugh and Jim shared with me the great news that he (couldn’t find a better offer so he is) going to remain as the Head Coach of the Michigan Wolverines. That is fantastic news that I have communicated to our Athletic Director Warde Manuel. #GoBlue!

SF didn't have a great structure when he was there.

No - but having Lynch and Shanahan as "equals" who report to the President is working for them now.

Mainly it means now that Harbaugh answers to Ono, not Manuel.
