I've seen a couple variations of this

 

I was watching a documentary about MLK and he was really shunned, even by people he was once allied with, over Vietnam. And the Poor People’s Campaign, where he was inviting poor people of all stripes, really set off the racists.

 

Seems like Roger Stone is the closest thing, and even that relationship is pretty transactional.
