I have $25 on K-State to win the conference at +20000. Pays $5000.

Self looked like he's just returned from a Chernobyl vacation. How do you get that tan in Lawrence in the winter?

Florida scored 12 points in the first half last night and nearly came back to beat ATM. Of course, it helps if the opponent can’t score, either.

My liver would not handle it.

If you had told me at the beginning of the season what this team is currently doing, I would have thought you were on crack.

Tell me about it. This UAB team was on paper the most talented team we've had in years. Five 1,000 point scorers, and Jelly Walker led the NCAA in scoring for much of the season. Thing is that we've got a couple of guys that read their clippings and are concerned about their stats, a couple that collect untimely techs, and in general they haven't handled the end of big games well. They haven't played well on the road. 10-1 at home, but 1-4 on the road plus a neutral site loss.

OTOH, they're 13-6 with four of the losses by a total of eight points. They're so close to jellying as a team but there's always a mistake at the worst possible time. At this point all we can hope for is to win the conference tournament if we wanna dance. 4-4 in conference, might could pull out a bye in the first round of the conference tournament. Thing is that they were picked to win the conference. Really disappointing year given the guys we've got. Fun team to watch when they don't piss it away, though.

As crabby as I am about it, they're eight points away from being 17-2. It could be a damn sight worse.

Loyola Marymount ends Gonzaga's 76-game home winning streak, eighth-longest in DI history.

Herb Sendek went 72-88 in conference games at N.C. State. At Arizona State he was 72-90 in league play. What an irreplaceable phenomenon.
