True about Nebraska, but it's decision to join a much-tougher league was a factor neither Georgia nor Tennessee had to consider.

Osborne, Solich and Pelini (for the most part) were playing under a whole different set of circumstances than Riley or Frost. Callahan was a mistake from the get-go.

Scott Drew has been at Baylor 20 seasons? No wonder my arthritis is flaring up.

Langston Love of Baylor and Gradey Dick of Kansas are on the floor simultaneously.

Seth Greenberg just pointed out that the Hokies guy should have been assessed a flagrant one foul on the play in which he unintentionally struck a Duke player in the throat with his celebratory fist-pump. Would have given Duke, down two at the time, two shots and possession with 18 ticks or so left. The rulebook agrees with Greenberg. Intent is not necessary for a flagrant one foul call.

Solich was a good choice in Lincoln. When a program gets to firing coaches following 9-3 seasons, the problem is delusion and/or stupid athletic departments, not bad coaches.

Don't you love how an incident like that didn't do so much as merit a Flagrant 1, yet Leaky Black – who had no intent to injure Terquavion Smith – got a Flagrant 2 and an early trip to the showers on Saturday?

For what it's worth the Flagrant 1 language from the rulebook: "Excessive in nature or unnecessary or avoidable, uncalled for or not required by the circumstances of the play."

It was obviously unnecessary and not required by the circumstances of the play. It's a no-brainer call. (And for what it's worth, zero chance the end of that game plays out the way it did if K were still coaching Duke.)

It's cute to hear Duke fans crying about a missed call.

Should have been called. It wasn't. I'm obviously very biased and will not complain about for once being the right side of a Duke officiating scenario.

Hokies' only chance of making it back to the tournament involve climbing the standings enough to avoid having to play on the first day of the NCAAT. They showed last year that four wins in four days is doable. Five wins in five days is very much out of the question.

In an eye blink, K-State went from down 10 at Hilton Coliseum to within 3. This team is a beast.

Georgetown beat DePaul tonight to end a 29-game Big East losing streak.

No fan of the Hoyas, but no players should have to go through something like that.

I covered a basketball team at Hillsdale that went 2-28
One of the players asked me: “Why don’t you ever write anything good about us?”
I said: “Why don’t you ever do anything good so I can write something good about you?”
