Today in cops gone feral

The cops are screaming at him different commands all at once, slam him down, and telling him to lay on the ground. Tyre tells them “I AM ON THE GROUND!!!!”

Then one cop finally tells him to get on his stomach.

Sheesh. That poor man.

 

Protests are peaceful in Memphis. I hope it stays that way. Unless they burn down the Liberty Bowl.

 

Don Lemon just got the gut wrenching interview with the outgoing chair of the city council who broke down and cried for a long time.

Memphis' police force, like the city population, is majority Black but that doesn't matter. The only color that matters behind the badge is Blue. That was brought up earlier with "the talk."

Maybe removing some of the racial aspect will help finally advance the ball on some police reforms.

FOX 13 in Memphis (remember "DOOR?") is on a national feed right now, so all seems peaceful and copacetic.

 

Whoever handles Memphis PD’s crisis comma deserves a raise and should consult with every big-city police force in America. The commissioner got ahead of the story, said how horrible it was and then gave notice ahead of time about when the video would be released.
