Of course, there's a lot of damned if they do, damned if they don't going on there. Heaven help them if the cancel culture catches them not being politically correct.

My god. Last night's SNL was leaps and bounds better than with Aubrey Plaza. MBJ was great and the cast just seemed to be having more fun.

The State Farm sketch was golden.

They really took a hit with the departures last year. The only members who can carry a sketch are Kenan, Fineman, Silverman and Gardner - the rest? The seem to throw Desmukes into everything since they don't have anyone else, Mikey Day tries hard, but he's better as the straight man, - maybe Michael B. Jordan just can't do comedy, but the writing seems repetitive. When they led with the roller coaster sketch, I figured it would be a long night. And it was.
Maybe its just me, but the writers knowledge of some of the guest hosts seems very limited. Jordan has been in other movies besides Creed.

Fineman is HORRIBLE. She’s literally never made me laugh. Ever. … I disagree with your take on Mikey Day too. He’s consistently funny.

This year’s cast is weak overall, though. Makes me wonder what some of their recent players like Beck Bennett are up to right now…

I guess they were unavailable but I’m still surprised that the Please Don’t Destroy guys didn’t do anything with Aubrey. That seems like a perfect match.

The Michael B Jordan episode was OK. I got a few laughs out of the Southwest, Toyota and State Farm commercials. I got a kick out of Punkie’s enjoyment of MBJ during the monologue and stripper sketch.

I couldn't disagree more on Fineman. I think she's outstanding.

Her "Inventing Anna" bit is one of the funniest sketches of the past few years. Her Jennifer Coolidge is also amazing.

This episode has been ... an episode. I'm admittedly not familiar with Pedro Pascal, and he may be good, but everything written for him has whiffed, except for the Mario Kart spoof.

At least they had a recognizable music act for now ... but then Chris Martin trotted out somebody with an alien head on.

Woody should be promising coming up, as he usually is. Probably going to get something with him as Biden.

Tonight was one of those nights where you wonder how bad the skits were that DIDN'T make it to air. Even Update sucked except for the one line about Biden clearly not being in any foreign country's pocket because his getaway is in DELAWARE.

Since this is the Downward Spiral Thread, did they do anything on the balloon shoot down?

Pascal played action heroes in his last two series, but he also has a rep for being an easy-going goofball. Haven't seen last night's ep and am disappointed to hear the writing wasn't very good.

Here's Pascal in something that is funny. Warning, some NSFW language:

And in refence to a line in the preview, I have both Croods movies. If you like animation, they're funny and flippin' gorgeous.
