Big 12 is and has been the best conference in the country. Part of the reason: Less is more sometimes.

I know coming from a UNC alum this might seem (will be) lame, but, that said...

Just saw highlights from local TV of the N.C. State women's basketball game. Looked like Reynolds was completely jammed. Looked awesome.

Would N.C. State folks take that over PNC Arena now for the men's team?

Surely the Big 12 is going to get more games shown on linear ESPN outlets once the Big 10 inventory is gone. But they have a surprisingly large number of good games that get punted to streaming only.

Probably not now. When they did an interior overhaul of Reynolds - including peeling who knows how many layers of nicotine and smoke remnants off the ceiling - they installed a Hall of Fame and moved the court over (the building had ridiculously deep end zones which is how it used to hold 11,000). The renovation was outstanding. The women aren't going anywhere not only because it's a stellar home-court advantage, but also because Kay Yow was able to get nice upgrades for the women's locker room and area to hang out.

And ... not lame at all. The guys usually play there once a season. It was a better question than you might think. But no matter what, the floor is still "Kay Yow Court."

Wondering how many other schools have a floor named after a women’s coach. Tennessee and Texas A&M are two I know of.

    Tennessee has The Summit.
Maybe LSU will rename its floor The Bigot.
