There was something called the Runner-Up Bowl for the NFL in the '60s prior to the Super Bowl era. It was held in Miami and despised by all, especially those who had to play in it, in an era when any post-season check, even for the Pro Bowl, was a sizeable financial inducement (The $15,000 winners share for the first Super Bowl was for a league where average salaries were less than 30K). It expired without much notice.

Obviously a reaction to the great reviews Greg Olsson has been getting from last week's game.

One of the game's greatest quarterbacks has pushed this to the point where I don't really care if he stays or goes.

    Better TV presence
    Still has a family
    Doesn't pitch bankrupt crypto companies

    Peyton > Brady

    Still, always and forever

I figured 7 was still greater than 2 in Russian math. Guess not.

It is a shame Peyton only got one Bowl with Indy.

C’mon, man. This stopped being debatable almost 10 years ago.

I think he meant as the person not the achievement. Brady is more accomplished. I would root for Manning's continued success rather than Brady's (not that I want Brady to become homeless and ravaged but if he lived a happy, private life that I never had to follow again, I would be happy).

Fringe player which, of course, doesn't make this any less heinous.

Right, but the Runner-Up Bowl was common usage.
