You mean during the game, right? Not the official who handed the ball to the kicker?

Well, Chandler was the Packers’ kicker, so who was kicking for the Chiefs? That was pre-Stenerud, right?

Wait a minute, trick question ? Ball fell off the tee before the first kick and a player put it back on…Willie Wood?

Willie did do some kicking off too, so maybe it was him?

Mercer was the kicker before Stenerud.

Looked him up. He kicked field goals and extra points, but he didn’t kick off. At least not in the Super Bowl.

    No, not a trick question.

The first player to touch the ball was Kansas City kickoff specialist Fletcher Smith, a defensive back from Tennessee State. He handled all three kickoffs for the Chiefs that day.

This may end up being a crowd sourced one*, but name the only player in the big four sports, who was drafted by two different teams** that both went defunct by the time this player signed a contract.

*so I found this player’s stats a few weeks back and have been researching other drafts and have found nothing…but one never knows.

** when I say defunct, I mean defunct. Not moved to a new city or changed its name. Also, the teams were in the same sport if that helps.

What do you mean by the teams went defunct by the player signing the contract? Does that mean the player caused the team to go defunct by signing the contract?

I Missed a word in there… “time.” Basically, he was drafted, didn’t signed because he decided to play college, and by the time
he was done with college, both of those teams were kaput. He then signed as a free agent with another team.
