Why would any city want to host any political party convention these days?

 

I actually liked the COVID conventions- weren't that bad and hope the parties do more of that remote stuff. Seemed to make the convention more "national." There pretty much useless at this point in any event. The "delegates" little more than extras in a TV show.

 

I’ll never understand the stock market. If the jobs report had sucked, what would the market have done?

 

I understand the logic, but it’s still strange that a great jobs report is unfavorable in some ways.

As a side note, didn’t these projections used to be pretty consistently accurate? The last three years have obviously been a roller coaster, but that report beat expectations by 300,000. That’s… a lot.

 

Yeah, I'm beginning to think there is no Goldilocks for financial people.

 

You know what? If those booger-eating, teeny-stemmed, Zambonied brained but otherwise lobeless catfish humpers want to take on the care and feeding of the RNC, the Titans, and the Predators, let them host them in Sparta or Strawberry Alarm Clock or wherever they're from and see how much better they do.

 

Or the "Deep State" is simply the rank and file government employees who are following the law and the established normal procedures they've used for many years until DJT showed up and started his bullshit.

If the General Assembly wants to help the people of the state, sponsor a bill to get those bridal parties off Broadway and move them to Pulaski or somewhere.
