Darby Allin is going to wind up crippled. Maybe from his skateboard or car stunts. Probably from wrasslin.

I always find it intriguing when they rip up the mat to show just that one-inch thick foam pad. That’s all that keeps these men and women from slamming themselves on wood.

My Mom took me to my first show, even though she really didn’t like wrestling or want to go. Leaping Lanny was in the second match. He did his poem, and I don’t recall who it was about. But he impressed my Mom because of his voice. She commented that he should have been an actor.

He played his role well, and even before the WWF, he played a prominent role in his father’s promotion with his brother Randy Savage in Kentucky which was part of a legendary promotion war with the CWA in Memphis.

    RIP

Also for fun, for those who have read Jim Bouton’s “Ball Four,” try to read “It Makes A Fellow Proud to Be An Astro” in Leaping Lanny’s voice.

    You’re welcome.

Also, bad day for lower-card wrestlers. Kenny “Sodbuster” Jay was a longtime preliminary guy for the AWA. Even Bobby Heenan beat him. RIP

Can't wait to see Reese dry hump another wrestler while having his body wrapped with a bunch of tape.

Not exactly Cale Yarbrough and Donnie Allison...

Gotta love the Fox network synergy.

That pop for Sami. Holy shit.

Great ending too. Roman’s pissed at Sami because of Jey.

I know the road is owned by Cody now, but there's got to be a path that takes Sami to at least one of the two big belts.

This is so damn great, I don't want it to be where Sami has to settle for the tag belts.

This isn't Vince's world, where the local star always loses in his hometown. Imagine the atomic reaction if Sami wins in Montreal, but I imagine it'll be a case where he gets a couple 2.999 counts before Roman eventually escapes.

I was wondering about that, because I wouldn't consider Greenville to be one of the typical hot cities. That's a great sign for a lot of great reactions over the next few months.
