One thing I didn’t need was MLB streams because I had MLB TV. For free through TMobile. And I don’t watch hockey.

I stumbled onto StreamEast last summer and had good luck earlier this football season, but recently I’ve not been able to Airplay from my phone to my TV on that site any more, which isn’t great.

I can still just share my phone screen to the TV, but then can’t also use my phone, and this is 2022 for Christ’s sake, would I die of boredom if I’m not doing a crossword, checking Twitter and reading a message board in my phone while watching a game?

I don’t know. I might in fact die. I damn sure don’t intend to find out.

I have another six months left on a 2-year introductory offer for cable/internet from Xfinity. Pay $115/month for 600-800 mbps internet and a mid-tier cable package. EDIT: I just ran a test. It says my speed is 921.4 mbps.

When the offer expires in July, maybe I'll do what I never did as a DirecTV customer for 23 years: Threaten to leave unless they give me a new deal.

I also had no idea about this whole share your phone to the TV thingy until I accidentally did so by watching some company-ordered video.

    They cannot stir enough pots.

Too worried about style (programming where they shout at one another and clips the pot-stirring crap to put on their site and social media) to concern themselves with substance (Outside The Lines, E60).

I didn’t even know the Saturday show existed. I just see the cutaways during the weekday afternoon SportsCenter.

I briefly had a OTL series recording on my DVR, but I rarely watched the show because it had turned into a shadow of its investigative self. It was more quick reactionary hits, where the Bob Ley long-form creation showed receipts and made news.

Also, this is the original report from Sports Business Journal.

ESPN is going to have pretty low T the next time it comes around to shake down the content providers.

Bob Ley doesn’t get enough credit for being able to say things like “And now stay tuned for the season premiere of Dream Job” with a straight face

Quick! Put the Big Hurt and Hail Mary on the case.

    (She’ll like it, too.) wink
