Are there any two coaches in the same conference who look as much alike as Randy Bennett of Saint Mary's and Herb Sendek of Santa Clara?

 

If there are any investigative media left in this world, they need to look into the whole "graduate transfer" thing. Especially in regard to NCAA Bylaw 14.1 and the exceptions to it.

 

This is in the running for worst loss in history, in contention with my former coach who was up 8 with 5 seconds when other team made a three and got fouled and his player complained and got a T. That cut it to 2. Then a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

But this, between Portland and Pepperdine...yeah, it's up there.

Saint Mary’s has found its latest Zag killer in Aiden Mahaney. Big second half and OT for the Gaels freshman.

GU will not be the WCC champion this year.

 

Jeff Capel isn't going to go there. Jim Larranaga is too nice a guy to go there.

But Steve Forbes isn't putting up with it. Jim Boeheim might want to pick and choose just a little more carefully.

 

He used to play 2-2 with me against his dad and brother when he was in grammar school. A super nice kid and family. I’ve been rooting for him since. He’s going places.

Ugh. Moby Arena has usually been home to excellent volleyball and mediocre basketball. Not political statements ... until now.
