It really was a great episode. I still could do without the storylines around "future" Rock, but it was nice to deviate from all the younger Rocks for one episode.

For being one of the biggest guys in Hollywood, Rock takes care of those closest to him -- even if the three mentors he dedicated Friday's episode to are no longer. But all he's done for his family (mom, Tamina) and Bruno/Harvey Whippleman, it's great to see.

And Brian Gewirtz seems to be a swell guy for someone who's built his own stature as one of Rock's right-hand men, and a key guy behind "Young Rock." I tweeted at him after I got his new-ish book (a great collection of stories from his career and behind-the-scenes from WWE) for Christmas, and he was kind enough to reply.

An aside: Apparently, Rock's mom was in a pretty bad car accident earlier in the week (not long after she was at the Rumble with the Fatu boys' mom). I remember she had been in an even rougher wreck a handful of years ago (with the future Nia Jax in the car, too).

Rock mention on social all that Ata had overcome -- cancer, a rough marriage, a suicide attempt -- and it's clear who the real warrior of the Bloodline is.

Edge calls Finn Balor a "dollar store version of Jamiroquai." That's ... a reference.

Beth giving Dom a glam slam was a great sight.

I can't see Elias beating Montez, so that means the whole Chamber will be filled with wrestlers from USA-era NXT, aside from Seth.

Definitely says a lot about Trips being in charge, considering Bronson Reed and Johnny Gargano weren't even employed by WWE 6 months ago.

Love the Easter eggs. In the background of JBL dumping Corbin was MVP shaking hands with Cedric and Shelton.

This Cody/Heyman promo is fantastic. Paul looks legitimately emotional.

Paul with a masterclass on how to ride the emotional rollercoaster.

And I never thought I'd hear a Wachovia mention in a 2023 wrestling promo. Cody wasn't lying with how tight things were, with his family near broke and living in one of the richest areas of metro Atlanta outside the Perimeter.

Damn. Whenever the Profits inevitably split up, I can't wait to see the banger that would be Dawkins vs. Ford. They're both just so freaking good.

    Lita!

I’m figuring Trish comes back and we get a six-woman tag with Damage Control at WM.

Might be much sooner according to the sheets.

Potentially that, Roman/Sami, Brock/Lashley, two Chamber matches -- been a long time since a non-major event has been that stacked.

    plus the Copeland mixed tag.

So they’d be looking at Beth Phoenix, Lita and Trish on the same show that’d be pretty cool
