Keith Emerson made a career out of co-opting classical music. Maybe that's why he isn't in the hall.

I supposed a case could be made for Wendy Carlos for her Switched on Bach, which rocked Bach and pioneered the Moog synthesizer. But platinum record and influence on the industry aside, I don’t think she passes the ear test to win inclusion in the hall.

Re the Grammys post-mortem: Beyonce fanbois among music writers are worse than any sports media fanbois.

For an old school rap guy, the 50 year tribute at the Grammys was right up my alley.

And that performance at the end of the show was pretty epic as well.

I didn’t realize anyone paid attention to the Grammys. I didn’t, but I avoid award shows like the plague.

A top of the cap to the Grammys for helping an unknown blues singer’s dream come true.

Tangentially? I would refer you to ELO's version of "Roll Over Beethoven" on ELO II. You get Beethoven's 5th and Chuck Berry, both classics.

Hell, ELP covered Aaron Copeland as well.

Yeah, Bonnie was an "overnight sensation" when she got her first Grammy for "Nick of Time" in 1989. She cut her first album 17 years before that.

And she was given a Grammy "Lifetime Achievement" award last year.
