Tucker is exactly right. A great game was given a horrible finish -- unnecessarily.

Is this basketball? Is it a one man game? He was the best player on the field who made one mistake.

    This is Skip Bayless horseshit.

Exactly. Except in that case, wasn't it a great play by Harrison, more than a poor play by Warner? Today, Hurts just fucking dropped the ball for no reason.

I do enjoy your habit of taking things out of context.

Hurts gave up seven points. But you cannot assume facts not in evidence. What is in evidence is that after the fumble he led the Eagles to a 10 point lead, and in the fourth quarter brought them back from an eight-point deficit.

Are you new to stuff concerning football, quarterbacks, etc.? You can be as good as you want. But you don't get to pretend on play didn't happen when all your others were really good, when that one decided the outcome.

Did the the 30 other plays not get them to that position?

No, you can't retrofit games to say a play in the second quarter determined the outcome of a 38-35 game won with eight seconds to go. You can't ignore the rest of the goddamn game. The Eagles lost the game on defense in the second half. That's it, period. A great offense beat them when it counted. It was only even close because of Hurts.

I can't assume anyting and I understand things aren't linear, so who knows what would have happened. But the effects of a defensive toucdown are inarguable. Teams that score one in NFL games win 78 percent of the time. Some years that rate has been close to 90 percent. Teams with no turnovers win 77 percent of the time. And given how this game was going at the time, a defensive TD was about the only thing that could save KC's ass.

It's a fair point. But it's amazing how a little bad can wipe out a shitload of good.
