After his Heisman campaign at Tennessee, former Michigan QB Joe Milton will find himself on an NFL roster in 2024. :)

They give out Heismans now for overthrowing the post route by 15 yards?

    Barely 5 yards. :)

    OK, maybe 7 yards.

And except for Brady, they have all kind of sucked or been average at best.

Ron Powlus says you can stick his two Heismans straight up your ass.

Someone at the WaPo worked brain cells extra hard to write that lead-in post.

    Washington Post

A guy in a striped shirt made a jaywalking call at the end of the Super Bowl. He threw a flag for defensive holding with less than two minutes left, which meant there was no recourse for Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles, and the game — the season-ending championship — was decided by a, a, a, bystander, who let the Kansas City Chiefs burn the clock and chip a field goal for a 38-35 victory.

It was absolutely the right call.

If you're gonna write a lead like that, at least play off the Andy Griffith episode "Citizen's arrest!!"

What's that photo supposed to prove? 24's right hand isn't grabbing anything, isn't even contacting the receiver. His left hand, you can clearly see his thumb, index finger and forefinger aren't holding anything. What's he holding him with, his pinky? 9's jersey isn't even stretched, indicating he's being impeded by a hold.

We're just gonna disagree. Bogus call.

I once posted a still from video of the New Mexico Lobos woman's soccer player and said it wasn't a dirty play and a few pooh-poo'd my selective editing. Same thing with that photo above. That is just one of 100 shots the photog rifled off in a second and a half. They did not use the most appropriate shot when 24 was holding.

Edit, from December 2014: Dirty New Mexico soccer

    Tha
That very well could be. Then the paper should not have used that shot to illustrate holding, because there's no holding going on.
