No he wasn't. He was the classic example of a Democratic consultant's idea of "electable" but who, in reality, never wins. At least at the statewide level. Bland, centrist, and thinking that the military background will draw Republicans to cross over. And I'm not in PA, but from what I saw, he ran a pathetic, listless primary race and would have gotten his ass kicked in the general.

 

Fetterman was more progressive but his campaign actually did the outreach in places like DuBois and Carlisle and Old Forge that other Democrats talk about in theory. And in doing so he cut into the vote cushion the GOP was counting on in the “T.”

 

Yes, please tell me, a Western Pa. resident, more about the race you sort of followed, from a state you don't live in.

Fuck, Fetterman won by less than 5 points, against a literal carpetbagger everyone hated, because of his health.

And he still won by a lot less than he should have (Shapiro won the gov race by almost 15 points). Because of a health problem he knew he had. He honestly shouldn't have run in the primary.
