It’s a deceiving map, because in rural midwest areas they are in Kroger grocery stores. The baristas are Kroger employees, not Starbucks employees, and the menu is largely scaled down.

Thanks. I did not know that. The New England chain Stop 'n Shop has Starbucks in some of its stores. However, knowledge has spoiled my fantasy of some guy in Sault Ste. Marie, dressed in full winter gear, sitting with a cappucino and his laptop working on a screenplay.

There's a Stop 'N Shop next town over where I once worked, never shopped there but picked up dinner there one night. Hamburgers. They were so rubbery I took them back. The manager offered me triple my money back if I didn't tell anyone.

A Starbucks recently opened in Richmond, R.I. (Population = 7,708 in 2010.) However, it's known for being a popular stop along Route 95, and for years they had two Dunkin' stores on each side of the road as a result. Still, Starbucks seems to be expanding into more markets, now that they've plucked all of the lowest hanging fruit markets.

It's not just young borrowers. Plenty of 45-year-old morons who just have to finance that $50K F-350 for that farm they don't own.

Wonder how much car these strapped young borrowers purchased.

F-350s go for a hella lot more than $50K these days new. I speak from experience.

You might find a '23 model extremely stripped-down for that price.

I'll never understand that crap. Some guy that works downtown buys one of those things in 4WD. He drives it in traffic and it gets rotten gas mileage. It's hard to park. The bed never gets scuffed because it only gets used to run the trash around back or to help someone move maybe. The paint never gets scratched by a branch. It never gets muddy.

The only good thing about them is that they get bought used by someone who actually uses it as a truck sometimes.
