And, if your storage situation allows, are smart to hang on to. You always have a backup in case the PC, laptop or phone crashes, breaks or is destroyed.

"Laurel Canyon" is on Amazon for two more weeks. It's a two part doc on the LA music scene from maybe '65 to 75. Tons of great photos and music clips. Well worth a look if you have not seen it.

A Renaissance man -- songwriter, singer, actor. His role as a Nazi in the film "Pressure Point" was memorable. Campy, but memorable.

His grandfather, btw, was a made man in the Genovese family. He never knew his father. He grew up thinking his grandparents were his parents and his mother was his sister.

Plus he always knew he would die young
Imagine the lifetime memory these girls had of dancing with Bobby Darin
He was the closest thing we had to a white Sammy Davis Jr. He could do anything

Maybe this artist is the answer to The Outfield (1980s British band that was successful in the U.S, but never sniffed the British charts).

This U.S. female artist had a massive European hit in 1989 but minimal homeland buzz.

New Isbell album forthcoming, complete with Wright Thompson-narrated sizzle reel:

“Life and death songs played for and by grown-ass people.” Can’t wait.

When did Austin City Limits start letting me book its show?

Spoon, the War on Drugs, Pavement, Nathaniel Ratliff… and they’ve all been sets LIT ON FIRE.

    What a run.
