I knew this wouldn’t take lobf. This particular bit of CGI still needs work.

I saw Antman and Misses Wasp in the Quantum Zone. I'd say it's a B, B-. It's basically if you took the traditional ANTMAN movie, and made it just a bit more serious and lore-y. It also serves as a proper intro movie for Kang. There are some incredible individual performances (Rudd, Michelle P., Michael Douglas havin' fun, Majors is a god damn bright shining star and there's a reason he's cast in every movie this summer), and Evangeline Lilly is there too with a new haircut.

Now the important question going into one of these movies. Is there just a mid-credits scene, or is there one at the end of the credits, too?

Oh, the most important thing, haha!

Two end-credits scenes. And, you have time to use the bathroom between the first and second one.

Thanks! I'm going to be seeing this with two impatient women. My daughter will grumble, but she wants to see the scenes. My wife, on the other hand, is usually very cranky about waiting through the credits. It is difficult to look up without stumbling upon spoilers, so this helps. I can let Mrs. OOP know ahead of time that we will have to wait. lol

My wife and I are inveterate credit watchers. You get to see all sorts of weird credits "Bee Wrangler" and such. We caught the Ferris Bueller "What, you're still here? It's over. Go home!" in the theater.

She's maybe a bit more dedicated than I am. She gets crabby when they are cut off on Netflix. That one does not bother me much.

I've mentioned this on another thread, but Dawn of the Dead wove more scenes into its closing credits in 2004, before it was popular. Many people didn't see it. I'm not a big horror fan, but my nephew really wanted to see it, so I volunteered to take him. This was on a weekday afternoon in a mall multiplex, so the theater was empty except for us. Keep in mind that most of the movie takes place in a mall, so when someone opened the door at the back of the theater as the credits were starting, my nephew jumped out of his seat. We stayed a minute and realized what was happening in the credits, which completely changes the ending.

A week or two later, I was speaking with a friend of mine on the phone. She is a huge fan of horror movies, so we ended up talking about it. At some point, I realized that she had left without watching the credits. She was pissed! It was still in theaters at that point, so she went again so she could see the whole thing. lo

I told this story here once before, but the odds of it being seen/remembered are small.

When "Time After Time" with Malcolm McDowell, David Warner, and Mary Steenbergen came out in 1979, I took wife to be to see it. It's a time travel movie, with McDowell playing H.G Wells, and he had actually built a time machine. He showed it to a couple of his friends, and one of them was played by David Warner. Unbeknown to Wells, his friend was Jack the Ripper. After a murder when he was being pursued by police, the Ripper broke into Well's workshop, set the date on the time machine far into the future, and activated it to escape.

The date that he fled to was the day we were watching the movie. <cue the Twilight Zone theme music>

We heard a coulple of sharp inhalations of breath, a bit of murmuring in the crowd. Then a guy in the back, who was still following what's happening on screen says aloud, "That's ok, he went to San Francisco."

I remember the movie. I vaguely remember someone telling a story about it here, but not the details.

We saw Quantumania tonight. It is good. The cast is excellent and the visuals are interesting. The story is just okay.

Majors really is great in this. Give them credit for finding the right tone for MODOK (or MODOFK).
