How long before out-of-state colleges outside the Deep South start telling Florida high school students "Thanks, but no thanks"?

 

Ted Cruz was giddy when Carter was diagnosed with cancer several years ago. Can't wait for his tweet when Carter passes away.

 

Being that's he's 98, he could go tomorrow or he could hang on for a while, but rather than regurgitate the "better man than President" line that has become almost cliche at this point, I'd say the thing that has defined Carter is an unswerving moral backbone, which helps in some cases and hurts in others.

 

It will happen some, but other MAGA states will force this bullshit on their state-funded universities. It isn't just DeSantis being a selfish asshole. It is part of their ongoing assault on public education. The test is already accepted by many Christian colleges and taken by students in many private schools as well as those who are home-schooled. It rejects the inclusion of informational texts, so texts that are more practical, and encourages a focus on Western Civilization. In other words, it will help protect those poor children from having to learn about people of color or foreigners.
