I enjoyed it, too. Nerd gets the awesome girl. Only in the movies or on TV (Big Bang Theory).

That's a combination of looks and performance. There are some seeds of Jessica Jones in her character in She's Out of My League. They are just seeds, but a bit of the attitude is there. Parts of the movie are very stupid, but some are actually pretty good, like the entire bit set at the Penguins game.

My wife and I had seen Ritter in "Breaking Bad", thought she was really good. When Jessica Jones came out later, the wife kept looking at her kinda puzzled during the third show. She finally placed what was pestering her brain - she'd been on social media with her for a while without realizing who she was. It's like a knitter's Instagram, bulletin board, something. Anyhow, they were bullshitting back and forth. Small world.

I went and saw True Romance at my local rep house, just a week or two after seeing Badlands, which it plays upon.

I don’t know why I’d never seen it. So many great performances. Following the screening I listened to the Rewatchables podcast on it.

I suspect I will see Cocaine Bear Saturday. I don’t know what the l reviews have been like, but I respect the effort.

She Said - not a bad journalism study; obviously an engaging subject

Sharper - new to Netflix, pretty fun ride for a grifter/heist story.
