I didn't realize Portland got 11 inches of snow. That would definitely be a problem there.

Same up here in PA. The grass is turning green in patches here. I fly to Vegas Sunday for a week and it looks like we're going to have the same temperatures they do for most of it.

Have two friends who are in Oregon. One is posting his porch is covered. The other one had to knock on someone’s door to ride out the snow because he couldn’t make it home. They weren’t clearing the roads he was using.

Meanwhile, my buddy in the Bay Area foothills was getting a heavy dusting. It’s grey and cold my way. If it snowed in the valley, there’s no sign of it.

Yes, but usually we only get down to the 20s, sometimes the teens, this time of year. Minus-11 this morning.

It's 47 and raining in Irvine at 10:30 a.m. Only expected to crack 50 this afternoon.

A friend who lives in Carmel visits family in Palm Desert frequently and is there now. She said it was 53 in Palm Desert yesterday, the first time she had ever been there when it wasn't hot. But, Carmel was 47. They are extending their stay in Palm Desert to the weekend because they are afraid of a rough drive through the Grapevine to get home.

    My day so far:
    5:30am - cold and icy.
6:30 - raining. At least didn't need to scrape ice off windshield.
7:30- Sun peeking through the clouds.
    9:30 - pouring
    10:30 - see 7:30.

I think your 9:30 is finally teaching me. Not pouring but my torn up back yard is turning to a mud pit

So it was raining, then it was pouring. Let us know when the old man is snoring.

    I'll show myself out.

I played 18 holes of golf yesterday. (78 if you care.)
We knew there was going to be a front come through around 3:00, so we teed off at 11. Beers in the shed by 2:15. (We play really fast. Get the number, one look, go.)
It was mid to upper 50’s and light winds when we teed off. Got to 80. Winds over 40. Had a wind gust of 81 here. Huge storms, hail, tornado reported about 5 miles from town.
2-4 inches of snow expected Thursday.
    Welcome to Kansas.

Nice playing … you shot lower than the temperature. And, eventually, the wind speed!
