Pay attention to what’s happening in Arkansas in regards to public education. SHS and the ARGOP introduced a voucher program at 4:59 pm on Monday. On Wednesday, they held “public” hearings on it (and vilified teachers who took time to go to the Capital to object). The text was largely written by out-of-state think tank and policy shops. It’s coming to every conservative-led state very soon.

It’s been my experience that most of their followers are quite unreasonable.

    Ooooh, young Don-Don seems triggered.

Perhaps we need the input of his rough tough brother in law, the Simpering Sissy, Jarey Boy.

Or even from the big bad mucho macho alpha male himself, the lisping mincing prissy prancing girly man with big bouncy boobs, who continually tosses off foppy wrist gestures, who wears makeup and girdles and coifs his hair to look exactly like his mommy, who continually cries about "nasty women," Big Daddy Fatfuck himself. Let's hear what he has to say about masculinity.

I would assume most of their money comes via Government largesse, no?

Vouchers have been around a long time. Hell, so many school districts have open enrollment that it functions like vouchers; there are school districts where you know where the good basketball teams and football teams are, because everyone just goes there.

Should elite basketball players not go to Oak Hill or Sunrise Christian? They do. And they're not paying to do it. So the question becomes: Should you have to have money, or a special talent to attend a school - public or private - that you feel suits your needs?

Public schools - in some places, not all - ain't cuttin it. They're not. And it's not because there isn't money; a lot of schools are gorgeous buildings with fairly well-paid teachers. And it's not entirely the public schools' fault. Not at all. But it is what it is.

NCLB was supposed to fix everything! Standardized testing! Oh, wait.
