And they switched over to UCLA-Arizona State where we get another colossal douche -- not seems like, actual colossal douche -- Bobby Hurley.

This looks a great deal like the Mike Davis I remember at conference tournament time.

Antoine Davis missed a 3 at the buzzer to end his season three short of tying Maravich.

Anytime Pistol's mark is brought up worth mentioning Lipscomb's John Pierce (4,230) and Philip Hutcheson (4,106) both surpassed him during Lipscomb's NAIA days, playing under legendary coach Don Meyer. And Hutcheson had passed Kentucky State legend Travis "The Machine" Grant, who had 4,045 while winning three national titles. Of course those guys all played four years compared to Pete's three. (Pistol had a mere 741 on the LSU freshman team...in 19 games.)

Missed another with about 30 seconds to go as well.
He went 7-for-26 from the field overall and 4-for-16 from 3-point range. Seems Youngstown State put everything they had into stopping him.
Davis also shot only four free throws, so that's some good defense.

Time for Mike Davis to retire, and for Detroit to go in a different direction. That used to be a pretty darn good program.

Sun Belt women's tournament game between Old Dominion and Troy had an interesting finish.
Old Dominion scored a clinching basket with six players on the court, the refs let it go, and for some God unknown reason that is not something that is reviewable. Call stands, Old Dominion wins, Troy's season is probably over.
Afterward, the Sun Belt says the refs won't officiate another game in the tournament and issues a statement basically saying, "Yeah, uhhh ... sorry about that."

And as an aside, you've gotta love the approach of the SID gamers from the two schools.
