Alma's on record as saying cops shouldn't carry guns.

Now there's a real Republican talking point.

Alma's also on record blaming Democrats for the rise of Republicans.

He posted one thing that doesn't fit and that's enough for you? You're funny.

He posts A LOT of stuff that doesn't fit. You just unconsciously select those out of your memory. His job here is "bad cop" Democrat who points out when they're going off the rails. Which can, at times, make him sound like a Republican, if you're hyper-sensitive to hearing the things the Dems need to do better.

It's so nice that he has someone here to happily swallow his bullshit the way you do. I'm sure that makes him feel good inside.

Just as a sidebar: respond to what Alma posts rather than trying to guess at his party affiliation.

He's generally - but not always - conservative.

And he's certainly not a party line-item Republican, nor is he a 'libertarian.'

    Debate the debate.

Alma brought it up this time, as he often does. I simply responded.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. My post wasn't directed at you.

There's a powerful pull on the board to shorthand each other. Alma is easy to potshot in that way.

But as I've said since the Boom days of 'intellectual honesty,' you are as you post.

So answer the post, not the poster.

The timing of all this is extremely fishy.

Reed emails the Missouri AG in January.

She has a sworn statement notarized February 7.

Weiss runs a slightly fleshed out version of that exact thing on February 9th without ever mentioning the affidavit. Or doing any reporting to corroborate Reed's assertions.

Not 24 hours later, February 10, the senior senator from Missouri, Josh Hawley, calls for a Senate hearing on the matter.

    Color me skeptical.
