For being such a straitlaced bankers & churches town, Charlotte has had some real pips for professional sports owners.

Didn't realize that Minnesota sets up shop in US Bank Stadium during the early part of the college baseball season. The right field wall gives it some old school Metrodome vibes.

A complicated legacy to put it gently.

On one hand, brought the NFL to the Carolinas. Also had a stadium paid for entirely by private funds.

OTOH, the issues with women and then - in stark contrast to initially building the stadium with private funds - demanding public funding for stadium upgrades while donating millions to put his name on the local university's football facility.

He sorta missed with Aaron Rodgers not being able to find the bathroom and (especially) Carson Wentz murdering a duck. Good to see him back into Grade-A form.

 

This is a fun read. Apparently the Jaguars have a rodent issue, the Cardinals charge players for food at the facility and everyone fucking hates playing for the Commanders. Who would've thunk it.
