Paying this one off: From 1981 when he debuted midseason to 2001 after which he retired, Ripkin only played 162 games 10 times and never more than 3 consecutive years.

But he played in every game the Orioles played. Which is all he could do. It's not like they could lend him out for a day to the Yankees if Baltimore had a rainout it wasn't going to make up.

Tbat's true. It's more a strange quirk of schedule that makes it interesting. He never missed a game but because of rainouts or other scheduling conflicts, the Orioles had a bunch of seasons where they never made up a game.

This is truly trivial, and I thank you for it. Irritated my group chat buddies.

The first Montreal Expo home run was hit by reliever Dan McGinn, 4th inning off of Tom Seaver on opening day at Shea Stadium. It was the only home run of his career.

Former Notre Dame footballer, including a little time at QB.

Wasn't that like an 11-10 game? I seem to remember it being a real wild one, and Duffy Dyer somehow ending up as the hero for the Mets.

Moonlight Graham played with three Hall of Famers. Who are they?
