I kinda like that move. The Raiders are probably entering a rebuilding phase and Jarrett Stidham is not any sort of answer at all, even for the short term. It's a cheap contract by starting QB standards, which should make Jimmy G. a good placeholder while they restock the roster. At worst, assuming he's healthy — and that's a big if at this point — he's no worse than Carr. He's a capable starter who should hold down the fort. Not going to light the world on fire, but shouldn't turn it into a dumpster fire either.
Of course, since this is the Raiders, by June he'll be arrested in the parking lot of the Bellagio for snorting meth off the left ass cheek of one of his porn star girlfriends.

 

Still not the worst job of protecting capital to come out of Santa Clara in the past week.

I envision McDaniels figuring he can "fix" Anthony Richardson -and be the smartest guy in the room - similar to how he'd "fix" another qb who wore 15 at Florida. Honestly, it astounds me that Davis replaced Gruden with Gruden 2.0 - an no doubt, when it becomes clear after this season or next the Raiders are regressing precipitously - McDaniels will say Richardson is "close," and McDaniels just needs a little more time.

 

NFL free agency: Aaron Rodgers reportedly wants Jets to sign Odell Beckham Jr., Packers teammates before trade

Rodgers has given the Jets a wish list of players he'd like them to target in free agency, including Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, Marcedes Lewis...and OBJ.

The most Jets thing ever would be if they go out and sign a couple of these guys and then Rodgers backs out or something.

But if they land Rodgers and a few of these guys (especially OBJ) they quickly go from the same old Jets -- loveable losers who are easy to root for -- to a loaded team expected to win now, which will have every non-Jets fan likely rooting against them. Not least because they're helmed by Rodgers, who seems like a real douche, and OBJ, who's something of a lightning rod.

Obviously Jets fans don't care how they come by their ring lol. I think

 

Beckham is washed. So I hope the Jets do pair him with Rodgers. Max entertainment.

 

One the one hand, he is an unlikeable annoying diva and no matter when things end, it will be an utter shitshow. On the other hand, I graduated HS in 1986 and the Jets have had exactly 2 home playoff games since that year, and none in the past 20 years.

 

This, in the words of Joe Benigno, is gonna be an uttuh disastuh, bro.

 

There is zero chance the Jets win anything with Rodgers. Will be a great move for the Packers, Bills, Dolphins and Patriots.
