Running 2022-23 NCAA Basketball Thread

    I interrupt my catching up on the thread to say one word: Princeton.

    2019–20 25–7 (.781)
    2020–21 16–9 (.640)
    2021–22 22–12 (.647)
    2022–23 28–7 (.800) At least NCAA second round

    Sure. If you totally discount everything before the NCAA tournament. Two ACC Tournament titles to go with the NCAA crown in the past decade.
    All things considered, it's the best 10-year stretch in the ACC by anybody other than Duke or Carolina.
    It's an easy target. Unconventional style of play gets blamed for March failures. And I concede that the contrast between regular-season and NCAA success has often been stark.
    The snark often comes from fans desperate to distract from their own irrelevance over decades.
    As a UVa grad, I'm proud of what that program has achieved and the people leading it. I know the person who made the hire. Even with the mockery that has accompanied the losses, the past decade has been unlike anything my friends and I ever expected to see in our lifetime.

    Arizona just seems to tighten up come March.

    And Princeton is probably underseeded by 2-3 slots. They can really play defense.
