imagine the certitude you’d have to have to insist an entire side of a debate has no humility:

It’s not just that the modern right uses the term to conceal deeper prejudices or inflammatory beliefs, it’s that the use embodies a deep-seated ego that is difficult to break through. How can someone be genuinely debated when they do not have an ounce of intellectual humility?

 

And within six months, they'll all be fired via social media.

 

In other words - agree with progressives?

I’m actually assuming, in this case, they already are informed. Can a conservative position on culture ever be morally well-informed and correct?

 

DeSantis' approach to this pre-campaigning campaign has been interesting. Avoid CPAC. Avoid any situation that isn't choreographed. Become one-trick pony and brand that trick into his identity.

He is absolutely Trump, without anything that makes Trump remotely interesting or worth tracking. He's Trump for the people that want Trump, but want a boring Trump.

When I was fresh out of college, I tried using a big word in a story: exasperate. I had no idea how to spell it so it was butchered, badly. Copy editor left it in. She pointed it out at the daily meeting. “You shouldn’t be using words you don’t know how to spell.” Same goes for not knowing what a word is if you don’t know the meaning.

 

Is it just me, or is DeSantis's complexion turning more orange?
