I don’t get criticism of the free school lunch. CT had it during the pandemic and just extended it for the rest of the school year. Does our family need it? No, but there are plenty of families that do and if that means if pay a couple of extra bucks in taxes at the end of the year, so be it.

Rich people pay taxes. Poor people pay taxes.

Thus the children of both rich and poor are welcome to attend public schools.
