Selfish asshole who will be dead before the problem hits doesn't care about solution. Fucking shocker.

Seriously, you might be the most selfish fucking person I've ever encountered. The world exists beyond you and your wife, Putin boy.

And I don't care if you have me on ignore. Someone will tell you what I said. Go cry about it elsewhere.

Based on those warnings, haven't we taken lots and lots and lots of intermediate steps since 1972 - like banning CFCs and mandating catalytic converters and raising fleet MPG while lowering emissions, bringing wind and solar energy online etc., etc., ad inf. - to postpone the worst, and extend our timeline of the apocalypse?

    We have.

Since our rise from the goop, mosquitos have killed more people than all other causes of death put together. Think billions.

I thought it was mostly to give us much better and healthier air to breathe.

And it was/is a tangible, reasonably rapid solution to a pollution/health problem obvious to all our senses. And something I wholeheartedly support.

One of the things my wife noticed immediately upon coming here was, "There's no smoke coming out of the backs of cars."

You make a good point … but the article you originally posted was not scare headlines in tabloid newspapers. It was a scientific study stating we could reach a critical amount of warming within the next decade that will crank up the wild weather extremes we’re already seeing now.

Consumer pressure may have forced McDonald’s to switch from styrofoam to paper packaging for its Big Macs. But continuing and increasing consumer consumption of what’s inside the packaging is a bigger problem.
