How about NC State-UCLA in the 1974 national semifinals. 80-77 in 2 OTs?

Walton 29 points, 13-for-21 shooting, 18 rebounds. David Thompson 28 points and 10 rebounds. State roars back from a seven-point deficit in the second OT to win.

Bill Murray was yelling at him to do just that.

That is and probably always will be my No. 1. Although I confess my "can't somebody fucking beat UCLA?!?" meter was running hot, even at age 13***.

***I really had bitter, irrational hatred toward some sports teams as a kid.

That NC State team is the one that made me a college basketball fan (I was also 13 at the time). Thompson is still the most exciting college player I've ever seen.

    Villanova-Georgetown, Harold Jensen.

    UCLA-Memphis State, Walton 21-for-22

    Louisville-UCLA, 1975 semifinals

    Kansas-UNC 1957, 3 or 4 overtimes

Lots and lots more I can't think of.

Sneaking around the henhouse, as Lee Corso would say.

He may be good on the offensive end, but Drew Time couldn’t guard me.

UNC beat Wilt Chamberlain and Kansas in 3OTs in the ‘57 final.

That might not be in the top 20 dirty plays for UT this season, but who am I to complain?
