Running shooting thread 2023

Most of us by now have our shooting where we realized it was never going to get better in America. Mine was San Bernardino. When the love of guns outweighs the hatred of Muslims, that’s a force to behold.

Sandy Hook and Las Vegas.

People still think Sandy Hook was fake. Crazy.

 

If the shooter was born female, and transitioned to male, shouldn't this person be referred to as he/him? Or does she just "identify" as male, and the police are sticking with birth-gender in the interest of keeping her actual identity straight for the record? After all the efforts people go to to identify trans people as their transitioned selves, it seems strange that in this case, that doesn't appear to be occurring.

Not that any of that matters with regard to guns, which are the real problem. Really, when is something going to be done about THEM? Truly, even NRA members cannot be feeling nothing about any of this. If so, the disingenuous-ness of the NRA is nothing short of Orwellian, and it and its cause is not to be believed in -- by ANYONE outside of it.

 

I used she because the reports started as shooter was a woman. No intent to offend anyone.

Yeah, the problem is guns. She had an AR and a 9mm carbine, which is basically a generic 9mm submachine gun except that it only shoots one round at a time. It looks like a 33 round Glock magazine in that. There were a lot of rounds available to go out fast. Plus a 9mm pistol.

 

So actually the question is what did they do to….can’t do it, can’t use this horrific incident to make a point….

 

This is the part where we wait for the facts to come out. I can't help but think that there was a precipitating incident, but... Shut up and wait.

The Johnson tweet is obviously hate speech.

Allowing that to be called free speech is killing this country a lot faster than guns.
